I Want Maternity Photos, But Not the Boring Ones...

I hear you and yes, you can want maternity photos and still not want the ones you've seen a thousand times. I get it. The stiff posed ones, the ones that feel unnatural and just not like you. Ain't nobody got time for that lol! If you want maternity photos in Raglan that feel like you and not like a template, you're in the right place.

What makes maternity photos boring?

It's the same pose, the same dress and a smile that isn't really yours. They show your bump, but nothing of you.

A not-boring maternity session starts with a different question. Not “How do I look?” but “Who am I right now?”

What makes maternity photos feel like you?

You're not just pregnant. You're becoming. Your body, your life and your whole sense of who you are are shifting, and that deserves to be seen.

As a mum myself, I know this season goes fast. One day you'll want to remember what it felt like to be you, right here, right now.

What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?

Most women do, and that's completely normal. It's my job to make you feel at ease.

I guide you through every moment, so you're never standing there wondering what to do with your hands. You move, you breathe, you laugh.

So what does a not-boring maternity photo actually look like?

You be the judge ;)

What to expect from a maternity session with Nami Creative

We shoot outdoors in Raglan, at my own special locations, so you have wind, light, sky and space around you. I shoot in all weather, and I love a moody day as much as a golden one. I guide you the whole way, from how to stand to where to look, so all you have to do is show up as yourself. Late pregnancy is the best time to book, when your bump is clear and you still feel good, so reach out early and we'll find the right date for you. And partners are of course always welcome to join in - I promise I make it super easy for them too.

You'll only be pregnant like this once, and you deserve to be in photos that feel like you.
