I get asked this all the time: "What should I wear to my maternity photoshoot?"

And honestly? I think we sometimes overcomplicate it.

My motto for maternity photography will always be: comfort over complication.

Yes, I have beautiful gowns, flowing fabrics, and styling options available for your maternity photography session here in Raglan. But if you're a jeans kind of girl? Wear the jeans.

A pair of jeans and a beautiful knit can create some of the most effortless, intimate maternity portraits, because you actually feel like you. And that's exactly what I want your pregnancy photography to feel like — not overly styled, not uncomfortable, not like you're pretending to be someone else. Just you, celebrating this incredible season of becoming a mother.

Whether you're looking for maternity photography in New Zealand, a maternity photographer in Waikato, Hamilton, or Auckland, or you're travelling to Raglan for your maternity photoshoot, my biggest piece of advice is simple: wear what makes you feel beautiful, comfortable, and like yourself.

Because when you're comfortable, it shows in your photographs. And sometimes the simplest photographs become the ones you love the most.

Your body is creating life. You don't need to complicate that. You just need to remember how beautiful it already is.
