This past weekend I hosted another The Empowered Woman Photography Workshop and my heart is still so full reflecting on the day.

Every time we host one of these gatherings I am reminded why this work matters so deeply...

Women arrive in the morning a little nervous.

Some have not picked up their cameras in months.

Some are wondering if they are “good enough”.

Some are quietly questioning whether they even belong there.

And then something beautiful begins to happen.

Slowly the energy shifts.

Conversations start flowing.

Cameras come out.

Laughter fills the space.

And within a few hours the room feels completely different.

Women supporting women.

Creativity flowing again.

Confidence returning.

These workshops were never meant to be just about photography.

Yes, we teach lighting, posing, storytelling, editing, and business strategies. But the deeper transformation that happens during the day goes far beyond technical skills.

It is about remembering your creative spark.

Somewhere along the way life happens.

Work responsibilities grow.

Motherhood arrives.

Adult life becomes busy and structured.

And the creative part of us quietly moves into the background.

But creativity does not disappear.

It simply waits patiently for us to return.

And that is what these workshop days are for.

They create a space where women can reconnect with the part of themselves that loves creating, experimenting, and seeing the world through a camera again.

One of my favourite moments during the day is always the shoot along.

Watching the photographers step into their vision, direct their shots, play with light and movement and support each other is incredibly powerful.

You can literally see confidence growing in real time.

By the end of the day something has shifted.

The women who arrived unsure now stand a little taller.

They trust their instincts more.

They see what is possible.

And as a photographer and mentor, witnessing that transformation is one of the greatest honours of my work.

Because photography is not just about images.

It is about seeing.

Seeing beauty.

Seeing story.

Seeing possibility.

And sometimes, most importantly, seeing yourself again.

To all the incredible women who joined us this weekend, thank you for bringing your openness, your courage and your creativity.

You made the day unforgettable.

And to the women reading this who feel that quiet nudge in their heart…

The next workshop might be exactly where your creative spark comes back to life.

With love,

Nami ✨
